#Sparkle2024 ends, the presentation of the guide to the best Italian dry #sparkling wines, edited by the historic food and wine magazine Cucina & Vini which, again this year, confirms itself as one of the most eagerly awaited wine events the Roman scene. Many enthusiasts, professionals and names per mezzo di the sector populated the spaces of Parcheggio dei Principi to taste a parterre of over 70 wineries among the best per mezzo di the country. As many as 91 labels were awarded the coveted 5 spheres (870 of those present per mezzo di the guide) per mezzo di a context that also allowed for a comparison the evolution of the sector over the last twenty years.

A 22nd edition, 2023, characterized by an extraordinary turnout of the public and a very high level of the wineries present. Over 200 labels were present per mezzo di a tasting journey that recorded numbers, introduced by the presentation ceremony which recounted the numbers of this edition. the step of the podium is Lombardy with 32 awards, followed by Trentino with 22 and Veneto with 17. Regarding the change per mezzo di dosages, out of 91 awarded wines, 36% are brut, almost less than half compared to the 62% of 2014, dry and extra dry wines also decreased and the other hand the notable increase per mezzo di low-dose wines (extra brut at 27%, ten years at 12%) and nature (25%, + 15% compared to 2014) . A special recognition goes to Uberti for his Franciacorta Quinque Extra Brut, already decorated with the 5 five spheres, he obtained the “Wine of emotion” award.
The surprise of the awards ceremony was the awarding of the Lifetime Achievement Award to Ruben Larentis, Ferrari’s historic winemaker, who retired last summer with 42 harvests behind him. A particularly exciting moment to celebrate one of the great winemakers of bubbles, the pride of the country.
