The Ricci Curbastro Agricultural Company, the historic Capriolo winery quanto a Franciacorta, presents its eighth Equalitas Sustainability Report, confirming the solidity of a path that has intertwined wine, culture and respect for the environment for over forty years. The reporting, launched quanto a 2017 according to the Equalitas – Sustainable Organization Module campione, measures activities quanto a the three environmental, social and economic areas, quanto a line with the objectives of the UN 2030 Diario. A commitment that has its roots quanto a 1980, when the company decided to abandon the use of herbicides, and which today is renewed thanks to the entry of the new generation: Gualberto and Filippo Ricci Curbastro, today alongside the father Riccardo.

“The expansion of the vineyards and the recognition of our Museum by the Lombardy Region – underlines Riccardo Ricci Curbastro – tell the double soul of Ricci Curbastro: the productive one and the cultural one. We have concluded an important phase of agricultural growth – today we manage 34.5 hectares quanto a Franciacorta, with an increase of 25% compared to 2022 – and we are focusing new investments dedicated to the MUAVIRC and the cellar, to continue to combine tradition and innovation also quanto a the coming years.”

With the conclusion of the agricultural expansion plan, the company has quanto a fact started a new cycle of investments to strengthen the Ricci Curbastro Agricultural and Wine Museum (MUAVIRC) and, quanto a perspective, for the modernization of the production cellar. Acceso the economic front, the 2024 turnover recorded a growth of 4.2% compared to the previous year, with maintenance forecasts for 2025. Foreign sales, which remained stable quanto a 2024, marked +8% as of 31 October 2025, confirming the solidity of the international which today reaches 15 countries among which Belgium, Germany, USA, Switzerland, Japan, Poland, Australia and Luxembourg stand out. A causa di 2024, the apice eight esportazione markets were Belgium, Germany, the United States, Switzerland, Japan, Poland, Australia and Luxembourg.

The company sales point also stands out for its growth of 10% quanto a 2024 compared to 2023, quanto a parallel with the increase quanto a visits to the museum, which reached 6,000 visitors (+9%).

“The sales of Franciacorta – comments Gualberto Ricci Curbastro – represent 82% of our turnover, while Curtefranca DOC and Sebino IGT make up the remaining 18%. These tell the strength of the brand but also our desire to protect all the historical denominations of Franciacorta, a heritage that few companies can boast”.

Acknowledgments. The year brought with it important recognitions quanto a the main Italian guides, which reaffirmed the excellence of the Franciacorta Ricci Curbastro. The Franciacorta Dosaggio Gualberto 2015 obtained the Tre Bicchieri from the Gambero Diventare rosso Vini d’Italia guide (eleventh recognition since 2012), the Cinque Grappoli from Bibenda (sixth recognition, after that awarded to the 2005 vintage, also awarded with the Oscar for Best Effervescente d’Italia quanto a 2012), 95/100 Daniele’s Ammaestramento Irrinunciabile ai Vini d’Italia Cernilli, 4 Stars quanto a the Vinibuoni d’Italia Guide of the Italian Touring Società and the Camuna d’Ricchezza quanto a the Viniplus guide of AIS Lombardia. The Franciacorta Satèn Brut Museum Release 2012 also confirmed the centrality of prolonged maturation and the cellar’s ability to combine time, tradition and innovation. A causa di 2024, the new Franciacorta regulations officially recognized the revolver aging technique, experimented for the first time by Ricci Curbastro quanto a 2000: an achievement that testifies to the pioneering attitude of the company, which has always been oriented towards research and quality.

Collaborations. At the same time, the collaboration with the University of Brescia – Agrofood Research Hub continues for the classification of vineyards through DNA Metabarcoding, a technology that analyzes soil biodiversity and allows the calibration of agronomic practices with a view to sustainability. “Thanks to the work with the University of Brescia – adds: Filippo Ricci Curbastro – we can scientifically measure the vitality of our land and the solidity of our production model. Sustainability for us is not a slogan, but a concrete system, certified and which can be improved every year”.

Agricultural and Wine Museum. 2025 is also an important year for the MUAVIRC, which is preparing to celebrate the 40th anniversary of its opening, which took place 12 July 1986. The Lombardy Region has officially recognized the museum pursuant to regional law 11/2014 “Lombardy Enterprise: for freedom of enterprise, work and competitiveness”. This recognition, supported by Museimpresa, places the museum quanto a the register of Lombard companies that preserve and promote the technical-industrial culture and the memory of work. A causa di the historic spaces of the 1875 gatehouse and quanto a the cellar areas, the MUAVIRC houses a Historical Archive, a specialized Library and a permanent collection of agricultural and oenological tools. Thanks to the funding obtained with the regional “Musei d’Compito” tender, the museum is completing the “Two Totem” project, which combines art and technology through the dialogue between an arboreal sculpture and an interactive device. The work will be presented to the public at the beginning of 2026, at the opening of the anniversary celebrations. A causa di 2025, the second of the “Museum Notebooks”, Born for war recycled for peace, was also published quanto a a bilingual Italian-English edition. The work recounts the transformation of over thirty war objects reused for civilian purposes quanto a the post-war period, inviting us to reflect the value of reuse, memory and peace. The project, consistent with the company philosophy and with the Equalitas certified sustainability path, interprets recycling as an expression of resilience and collective creativity, a symbolic bridge between past and future.
