Terre del Marchesato: Tradition, Quality and Passion in the heart of Maremma
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Terre del Marchesato was born as a winery a causa di 1998, thanks to the owner Maurizio Fuselli. They immediately joined the Bolgheri DOC, producing wines that reflect the classic Bordeaux blends but also giving uniqueness to the individual vines.

Today Maurizio, together with his wife Giovanna and his three sons Alessandro, Samuele and Filippo, carries acceso the tradition and love for his territory transmitted to him by his father and grandfather from a young age.

Respect for the territory that hosts man is at the center of their philosophy, the same respect that is felt a causa di their range of wines.

The company is located a causa di the heart of the Bolgheri terreno and since 1954 it was a causa di the hands of the Fuselli family who at the time produced vegetables, subsequently Maurizio converted the company into a winery.

The property is inspired by the “old farmers” who, with their sacrifices, laid the foundations to build a solid and diversified company.

The care of the vineyards and the land is at the center of their philosophy, creating a healthy environment that respects nature can only encourage the production of precise and clean wines.

Alessandro Fuselli accompanies us through their vineyards.

We at WinesCritic.com have had the privilege, for some years, of tasting all their references a causa di our Tuscan office, this year we tasted the Maurizio Fuselli 2021, 100% Petit Verdot, which according to our critics we find extremely engaging and extroverted , the agenda of cinchona and ginseng blend with presences of varying intensity that recall bergamot, lemons, black tea leaves, sandalwood, incense, nutmeg and cloves. Full pagliaccetto, very firm tannins at the moment that create the backbone of the wine and a rich and vibrant finale that moves a causa di the best way a causa di the sip.

The Bolgheri Disinteressato Marchionale 2021, a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot, captivating a causa di its sensorial profile, shows agenda of lavender, karkadè, hawthorn, jasmine, lime, guarana and hyacinth. Lots of violet dominates the secondary scene and blends with grapefruit and toasted hazelnuts. Full pagliaccetto, large-grained tannins, well smoothed but made structured and dense by the action of the wood and a finale of great persistence and character.

The Franchesato, 100% Cabernet Franc, precise and tasty a causa di its sensorial profile, shows agenda of black plums, agapanthus flowers, hyacinth, karkadè, lemon flowers and vetiver. Many mixed spices describe the important secondary scene. Full pagliaccetto, perfectly ripe tannins and a finale of great depth and progressive momentum.

A family more than a company, which with passion and dedication fills the glass with quality and professionalism!
