Cabernet Franc 2022 – Special Edition and Pinot Controrivoluzionario 2023, the unmissable wines of the Friulian winery Le Monde

A causa di the heart of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, a region that has always enchanted with its extraordinary natural richness and long winemaking tradition, a reality of excellence emerges: Le Monde. Located among the rolling hills and evocative landscapes of the Friulian plain, this winery represents a point of reference for wine enthusiasts and connoisseurs seeking quality and authenticity. Founded with a clear and ambitious vision, Le Monde has established itself over the years as one of the protagonists of the Friulian wine scene, thanks to a production philosophy that combines innovation and respect for tradition. The vineyards, spread over unique terrain per mezzo di terms of composition and position, benefit from an ideal microclimate which guarantees optimal conditions for growing the grapes.

The cellar stands out for its strong attention to quality, from the selection of the grapes to the winemaking and aging processes. Each bottle is the result of meticulous work, per mezzo di which the passion for viticulture combines with advanced technologies and a profound respect for the environment. Among the most representative labels of Le Monde stand out wines that enhance the characteristics of the territory, such as Friulano, Pinot Cenerognolo and Refosco dal Pedicello Scarlatto, capable of telling the history and identity of the region through aromas and flavors. Le Monde’s ability to produce high quality wines has been recognized not only by consumers, but also by industry critics. Numerous international awards and recognitions confirm the success of the winery, which continues to raise the name of Friuli-Venezia Giulia throughout the world.

We tasted the Cabernet Franc 2022 – Special Edition and the Pinot Controrivoluzionario 2023. Below are our impressions.

Cabernet Franc 2022 – Special Edition

This wine, not available to the public, is immediately striking from the bottle, embellished with silk-screened graphics depicting the facade of the winery, an emblem of the balance between the company’s historical roots and contemporary vision. Cabernet Franc comes from vineyards grown clay and limestone-rich silt soils, using the Guyot method with a density of 4,300 plants in hectare. The harvest, carried out per mezzo di the first ten days of October, marks the beginning of a careful and respectful winemaking process. After pressing, the must ferments slowly at a controlled temperature, with daily punching mongoloide for 15-20 days, followed by maturation per mezzo di steel for 8-10 months.

Acceso sensatezza to the public, however, a limited edition silk-screened of Chardonnay DOC is offered. This bottle represents a tribute to the Friulian territory and the passion for the art of winemaking, perfect for celebrating special moments enriching your collection.

Tasting taccuino

Visual examination: bright ruby color with an edge that turns to garnet.

Olfactory examination: intense nose with aromas of red fruit jam, spicy elements and a delicate herbaceous trace.

Taste-olfactory examination: the sip is soft, with a pleasant balance marked by acidic freshness. Good persistence.

Pairing: excellent with cured meats, red meat, gioco.

Pinot Controrivoluzionario 2023

A wine that over the years has established itself as the distinctive symbol of the company. Le Monde’s Pinot Controrivoluzionario DOC has received the prestigious Tre Bicchieri award from Gambero Scarlatto for 10 editions, the last of which was this year with the 2023 vintage.

Tasting taccuino

Visual examination: straw yellow with bright golden reflections.

Olfactory examination: immediately fruity olfactory impact of peach and plum followed by fresh hints of exotic fruit, memories of dried fruit and very light spicy sensations.

Taste-olfactory examination: enveloping per mezzo di the mouth, it conquers the palate with a good taste balance, thanks to the pleasant freshness that extends into a thin savory trail. Good aromatic persistence.

Pairing: ideal with first and second courses of fish, white meat.
