Description
Savoy cabbage with onion and tomato is a yummy side meal, perfect to be taken pleasure in hot paired with bread. An easy however yummy meal, ideal for heating up throughout the winter. You can prepare it in a big pan, or if you choose in a pan. It is possible to improve it with black olives, or develop a 2nd course by including pre-cooked borlotti or cannellini beans.
Active Ingredients
1 savoy cabbage;
250 g of tomato pulp;
1 golden onion; to taste additional virgin olive oil; salt and pepper to taste.
Guidelines
Wash the cabbage, sufficed in half and get rid of the tough main rib, then slice it into thin strips. Peel the onion, sufficed into thin rings and brown it in a high-sided pan with additional virgin olive oil. As quickly as the onion is well wilted, include the cabbage and leave it to taste for a couple of minutes, then include the tomato pulp and a glass of water. Season the cabbage with salt and pepper, cover the pan with a cover and continue cooking for a minimum of thirty minutes, stirring periodically.
