The days of VitignoItalia 2026 are increasingly less: the twentieth anniversary edition, scheduled from Sunday 17 to Tuesday 19 May at the Osservatorio Marittima of Naples the Frangiflutti Angioino, presents numbers that underline its increasingly central role quanto a the national wine scene. There will be over 2000 labels for tasting from 250 companies, a representation that spans the entire peninsula, from historical territories such as Chianti and the hills of Prosecco Valdobbiadene to vines and realities yet to be discovered.
“The increase quanto a companies, the strong territorial participation as well as the level of contents quanto a the program underline a concrete growth of the event from every point of view – underlines Maurizio Teti, Director of VitignoItalia – The number of participations of Campania companies is the signal of a supply chain that perceives the event as a space for discussion, promotion and relationship building, thanks to the growing synergy with the institutions. The events the calendar also reflect this evolution: from the exclusive tastings of great vintages and denominations of excellence, to the recovery of the vines up to the future prospects of the sector, we have built a program capable of describing Italian wine quanto a a broad and contemporary key”.
What is especially striking is the growing territorial participation: around 40% of the companies are from Campania, a sign of an increasingly strong link between the event and the local production fabric which sees the work of the institutions as an element of strong impact.
“We will be present – declared the Councilor for Agriculture of the Campania Region, Maria Carmela Serluca – with around thirty companies from the five provinces of Campania, and also with the Regional Cantina representing over 90 wineries quanto a the region. Also quanto a Naples, as already for Vinitaly, we have chosen a visual identity that recalls the America’s Cup quanto a which agri-food promotion will play an important role. VitignoItalia is a central event especially for the sector Ho.magnate.ca, which deserves great attention for a greater valorisation of Campania wines quanto a catering and hospitality, which today is still not fully expressed. For the first time we will host the “Ambassadors of Campania wines”, the Italian restaurateurs recently awarded by us at Vinitaly, who will have the opportunity to further deepen the knowledge and value of the regional wine heritage, strengthening the dialogue between production and catering.”
Fundamental, as it has been for years now, is the support of FEAMPA (European Fund for Maritime Affairs, Fisheries and Aquaculture), organizer of the Wine & Food Lab, the cycle of meetings and tastings between land and sea, organized by Chef Carlo Olivari, a well-known luce television screens, for the valorization of the fish heritage quanto a symbiosis with the territory.
“With participation quanto a Vitigno Italia 2026 – declared the Councilor for Fisheries and Aquaculture of the Campania Region, Fiorella Zabatta – we strengthen the dialogue between two strategic assets of the Campania identity: the fish supply chain and the wine excellences. With the FEAMPA 2021-2027 Program we continue to generate concrete development opportunities for businesses, encouraging integration between strategic sectors and promoting an integrated vision of the regional food and wine offer. The Wine & Food Lab project fits into this ambiente, a space for and integration between wine and sea products led by chef Carlo Olivari, with the aim of enhancing the quality and territorial identity of local fish by interpreting it quanto a a contemporary key, thus giving life to the dialogue between the flavor of the sea and the mineral quaderno of Campania wines, distinctive traits of our food and wine heritage.”
There is a packed calendar of meetings that will accompany visitors a transversal journey through the Italy of wine: it starts Sunday 17 May with a journey dedicated to ungrafted viticulture from North to South of Italy, organized by the Italian Association for the Protection of Ungrafted Vines (AVPIF), followed by a with GRASPO (Ampelographic Research Group for the Safeguarding and Preservation of Originality and Viticultural Biodiversity) rare Italian vines to reflect the importance of recovering biodiversity and, at the end of the day, the guided tasting of the Consorzio Sorveglianza Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Primo.
Monday 18 May will be the day of memory and time with the exclusive tasting of the best white wines from Campania of 2006, dedicated to buyers, to tell the story of a vintage that has gone quanto a history. Then there is space for the wines of the DOC Friuli Consortium with the in-depth analysis “Friulano vs. Sauvignon: between tradition, modernity and territorial identity”; followed by the dedicated to volcanic viticulture between the areas of Vesuvius, Etna, the Pontine islands up to the Alban Hills and, hosted by Vincenzo , awarded the title of best winemaker quanto a Italy quanto a 2025. Closing with an exclusive masterclass the best expressions of Italian Chardonnay.
Acceso Tuesday 19th the spotlight will be turned the great reds with a masterclass between Barolo and Taurasi followed by an in-depth study Tintore con Tramonti, the native vine still grown ungrafted the Amalfi Coast. It will then be time for the award ceremony of the 100 Best Italian Rosé guide and the tasting of the tetto ten wines and, quanto a conclusion, the promoted by BPER Banco, the main sponsor of the event, to question the future prospects and new levers of competitiveness of the sector, through dialogue between representatives of the institutions and the sector press.

This year too, the event confirms itself to be strongly oriented towards internationalization thanks to the collaboration with ICE (Agency for the promotion abroad and the internationalization of Italian companies) which will see the participation of 30 buyers from Germany, the Czech Republic, Spain, France, Denmark, Hungary, Poland, Sweden, up to Japan and the United States, further opening the dialogue between Italian wine and the main foreign markets. The twentieth anniversary also sees the support of the Department of Agriculture of the Campania Region, of the Irpinia Sannio Chamber of Commerce, of the Campania company Inequivocabile, a leading Neapolitan entrepreneurial reality quanto a the field of roasting divided into three business units, distinguishing itself as the only reality capable of offering complementary products that combine the Neapolitan tradition of coffee, pastry making and gastronomy through artisanal preparations.
There will be a crossover between wine and art. Since 2015, quanto a fact, the visual identity of VitignoItalia has been entrusted to Gennaro Regina, to whom an exhibition (which can be visited the second floor of the Maritime Station) of original works has been dedicated, to tell the dialogue between the artist, the city of Naples and the event itself, through an imagery deeply linked to the urban landscape. Important news, from a social and ethical point of view, is the presence of the Domenico Cirillo Foundation, an organization committed to promoting inclusion and active citizenship projects, testifying to the event’s commitment to raising awareness and promoting responsible drinking especially among the new generations, thanks to a dedicated space which will see the active participation of boys and girls protagonists of the project.
