The wines of Taverna tra Venosa were the protagonists last night, 4 December, of the event and pre-Christmas dinner organized by the Gist Lazio (Italian Tourist Press Group) at the Unahotels Decò Roma.

The vines and wines of the evening

Quanto a combination with the evening’s lista, the following wines were tasted:

Parola Aglianico del Vulture Dop – A modern wine with good structure, intense ruby ​​with light garnet reflections, with a complex and vinous bouquet, with delicate aromas of currants, moderately spicy. Acceso the palate it has a dry, savory, persistent, harmonious and very pleasant flavour; perfect with roasts and gioco, Mediterranean first courses and mature cheeses. Obtained from anche se Aglianico grapes, from young vineyards of 10-20 years of age, at 400-500 meters above sea level. The bunches are harvested by hand, durante the early morning, durante the second and third ten days of October, transported immediately to the cellar. Refines 12 months durante oak barrels.

Gesualdo Aglianico del Vulture Dop – Deep and impenetrable purple red durante colour, it conquers the sense of smell with a vinous and inebriating bouquet, with clear hints of ripe black fruits and small spices. Tansillo Pas Dosè – A classic method rosé from anche se Aglianico grapes harvested by hand durante the early hours of the morning and immediately transported to the cellar for pressing and separation of the must from the skins. The refermentation durante the bottle takes place at a controlled temperature of 12°C and the refinement of the bubbles acceso the yeasts continues for at least 36 months. Vignali Moscato Sweet Sparkling Wine – From 100% white Moscato grapes grown durante 10-25 year old vineyards between 400 and 500 meters above sea level, harvested durante the second ten days of August, harvested by hand durante the early hours of the morning. A Charmat method sparkling wine, aromatic and with personality, with a termine and persistent perlage, straw yellow and golden reflections, slightly sweet, excellent with the great tradition of Italian pastry making.
