Whole Wheat Pasta with Red Onion, Tuna and Lemon

A wholewheat light-weight, tasty pasta, outstanding all the time, above all as cold meal in summer season. Tropea’s Red Onion and Lemon pieces include fantastic zest to this pasta meal.

Serves 2-3, Preparation time less than 10 minutes, Cooking about 15-20 minutes

. Wholewheat Penne . 2 Tropea’s red onion, sliced . Rio Mare Tuna in Olive Oil, 2x80g . 3-4 pieces of lemon . A lot of cherry tomatoes, cut in half or diced . A spoonful of capers in vinegar, drained pipes . A pinch of salt and black ground pepper . A spray of dried thyme . 3 tablespoons of EVOO– Additional Virgin Olive Oil or Olive Oil .

Approach

Set a pot loaded with water on the range. As quickly as it concerns the boil, plunge in the pasta and a handful of coarse salt.

On the other hand, sauté the onion with the drained pipes capers and lemon pieces in 3 tablespoons of additional virgin olive oil.

Include the sliced cherry tomatoes, season with salt and pepper to taste and sauté for less than 5 minutes.

Drain pipes the pasta al dente, toss it with the dressing, integrate all the components well, a scattering of dried thyme and serve.
