Sopra Palermo, NEXT generation is born, the Under 40 group of Assovini Sicilia. A rete televisiva privata of young wine producers already active their respective family companies, who have chosen to collaborate to enhance the Sicilian wine heritage with updated tools and a shared approach. The initiative was born within the Reference Association for Sicilian wine, with the aim of promoting the comparison between the new generations and create opportunities for common growth, even outside traditional promotion models.

Gabriella Favara, who commented: «NEXT generation is future, union and continuity, leading the newly elected board of directors. We want to contribute together with the success of our sector and the enhancement of Sicily the world ». The vice -president is Enrica Spadafora, who underlined the value of the synergy between young producers: «Being part of this team is a great opportunity and a responsibility that we luce with enthusiasm. Now it is a question of transforming shared ideas into concrete projects ».
The group currently counts twenty -six members and has given itself a programmatic bando that focuses acceso four main routes: internal pratica, the involvement of the new generations of consumers, the promotion of the territory and the adoption of languages capable of intercepting the cultural and communicative change progress the sector.
The project arises as a conscious generational response to the physiological handover wine companies, but stands out for the choice to adopt informal and participatory networking and communication models.
The activities planned include technical and managerial pratica meetings, wine -growing projects, Team Building initiatives between companies and tasting and communication formats designed for the youngest public, with particular attention to the Z.
To support and promote the birth of generation Next was Assovini Sicilia, the belief that the group represents an important piece for the future of the island wine. “I am sure that this group will be able to promote our viticulture with new and consistent methods with the transformations taking place,” said Mariangela Cambria, president of the association.
