The value of a wine does not depend only acceso the choice of the technique of extraction of the soluble substances contained quanto a the grape cloth and its correct execution, but above all by the ability to express its characteristics quanto a an original way. This expression acquires value when associating the pleasantness that wine reaches only after a certain period of evolution and aging. other words, we are talking about the longevity of wine: a fascinating and still partially mysterious phenomenon, not to be confused with the simple duration over time. fact, there is a difference between witnessing a positive evolution during the stay quanto a the bottle and simply observe the absence of oxidation ora, more generally, the wine .

a context quanto a which the quality is reached only if strongly desired, refined with care and patiently awaited – because it is always perfectible and the result of a human work – the 150 Lison Eccellente of Frazione Stajnbech was born. A wine that celebrates 150 years of the unification of Italy and becomes the spokesperson for the deep bond with the history and identity of our country. Made with Tocai Friulian grapes, it is the son of a well -defined territory, seasonal conditions and vision of the Valent family. It is not just a wine that gives balance and harmony: it is the authentic expression of the denomination from which it takes its name and, even more, of the distinctive style of the company.

The story of Frazione Stajnbech

Stajnbech is a family -run wine company located quanto a Pramaggiore, between Venice and Trieste, quanto a the heart of a land once known as the vineyard of the Serenissima. The name of the company, of Austro-Hungarian origin (Steinbach means “stones of stones”), evokes a past full of history and suggestions.

Founded quanto a 1991 by Giuliano Valent and Adriana , today she is guided with passion by her daughter Rebecca, a young solar winemaker, humble and enterprising. Rebecca is clear that the quality does not end quanto a the denomination of origin, but it is built through aware choices that concern the grape variety, the methods of collection, the winemaking system and the aging.

“They are the second generation of a wine story that still has roots firm quanto a the past, but the reality that you breathe today is an indovate mixture of my parents’ intentions who have been able to skilfully complete the agricultural experience with the reception and the commercial sphere”, so Rebecca tells, recognizing a double role quanto a the territory and quanto a the family: refuge and source of inspiration.

A wine that expresses the authenticity of the Tocai Friuli and the link with a single territory

The settore of the DOCG Lison Eccellente, established quanto a 2011, extends into the Venetian plain, not far from the Adriatic coast. Its natural boundaries are delimited to the east by the Tagliamento river and west from Livenza. Just here, since the mid -nineteenth century, the Tocai Friulian grape variety has found its ideal . His true identity – that of Sauvignonasse, originally from Bordeaux but now abandoned quanto a France for his scarce performances – was discovered quanto a 2007 by Antonio Calò, director of the Experimental Institute for Viticulture of Conegliano.

The distinction between Lison Docg and Lison Eccellente DOCG lies quanto a a fundamental element: the presence of the caranto, a particular with a dark ocher color with white veins, composed of clay and calcium carbonate. It is precisely this combination, together with the historicity of the autochthonous grape variety, that has justified the attribution of the classic mention to a restricted settore of just 151 hectares. The mineral wealth of the caranto – with high levels of potassium, calcium and magnesium – enriches the aromatic profile of the grapes, giving rise to elegant wines, characterized by a floral bouquet (linden, glycine, acacia), menthol touches and agenda of exotic fruit. the palate they affect for complexity, depth and a pleasant citrus freshness, favored by a naturally low pH. The closure is dry, long and marked by the unmistakable final note of bitter almond.

The vertical tasting of the 150 Lison Eccellente DOCG, including the vintages from 2008 to 2022, together with the previews of 2023 and 2024, highlighted not only the stylistic evolution of the name, but also the profound harmony between the work of the Valent family and the authentic voice of the territory. It is the concrete testimony of healthy, conscious and respectful agriculture, which recognizes quanto a the earth not only a means, but an essential value.
