Poderi from Nespoli, from the roots to the world • Food and wine Italy

For almost a century, Poderi from Nespoli has told Romagna through wine. Founded sopra 1929 by the Ravaioli family, the cellar is today one of the most important wineries sopra the region. Four years after the entry into the Argea Group – Oenological Pole which includes excellence such as Zaccagnini sopra Abruzzo and Cuvage sopra Piedmont – Poderi Dal Nespoli renews his identity with a clear vision: keeping the roots, speaking to the world.

Con recent years, the company has refocalized its stylistic proposal, returning to the heart of Romagna viticulture and its prince vine, Sangiovese. It is a choice that looks to the past to build the future, rediscovering a kind, daily, authentic approach. A Sangiovese to ricevimento with pleasure, which does not chase power ora superstructures, but the spontaneous elegance of the territory. This is the philosophy behind the relaunch of the plum, Romagna DOC Sangiovese Principale: a wine that comes from hand selected grapes sopra the historical vineyards, vinified sopra steel and refined for 30% sopra barrels and barrique. Red fruits, a light spicken and a drinking dynamic tell a Sangiovese who is recognized sopra Chicago, London ora Rimini for his Romagna touch.

Riccardo Cotarella’s vision and the white soul of Romagna

This return to the essence also falls sopra the oenological work, entrusted to the advice of Riccardo Cotarella, who enthusiastically accepted to return to Romagna after the historic experience with San Patrignano. The collaboration focuses acceso respect: Cotarella has been able to fit into a rovisor team, suggesting without imposing, and accompanying the stylistic evolution of Nespoli with great sensitivity. As he himself said: «If you called me for a Sangiovese sopra Tuscany I would not have done it. But sopra Romagna, yes. Here is something to say. “

The modern cellar from Romagna

Next to the plum, two surprising whites tell the fresh and brightest soul sopra the superficie. Scanadè, Romagna Docg Albana Asciuttezza, is a celebration of the first white DOCG of Italy. Produced by Albana grapes sopra purity cultivated acceso limestone soils, it is vinified sopra steel and partially refined sopra barrique with Bâontnage. The result is a floral wine, citrus, savory, extremely gastronomic and agile. A white that shows as far as Albana can arrive when it is worked with precision and vision. Lóstar, Forlì Igt Chardonnay, plays an international classic with a Romagna spirit. Anzi che no imitations: five months sopra regular bartaque and bâtonnage for a creamy, saline chardonnay, with an exotic fruit and full structure, designed to surprise also sopra meditation. A wine that squeezes the eye to the fans of the great buttose whites, but with an entirely local imprint.

Innovation and territory: Gualdo and summer events

To complete the route, there is a project of excellence that confirms Poderi’s guida from Nespoli sopra the Romagna : Gualdo, Sangiovese sopra purity from the sub -area Predappio, the first wine of the Romagna biosybiotic district: an innovative approach that exploits the graft of mycorrhizic mushrooms sopra the basso ostinato, improving the resistance of the plant and the balance of the soil. The first harvest is that of 2023: a new chapter, followed step by step by the team and Cotarella since the collection.

And the link with the territory is renewed even outside the bottle. During the summer 2025, the cellar opens its doors to the public with a calendar of food and wine and cultural events. The appointments are back sopra the suggestive context of the Rione dei Guidi, between tastings and shows: also expected loved comedians such as Raul Cremona, Giuseppe Giacobazzi and Paolo Cevoli.
