Three glasses and a single philosophy to describe all the nuances of bubbles
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

After having revolutionized the experience of tasting great wines with the Senses project and the T-made collection, with products capable of exciting and conquering the senses, Italesse takes a further step aimed at valorising the work done con the vineyard and con the cellar with Trilogy, the first concept glass designed to enhance the variety and style of sparkling wines and Champagne.

Previewed con Monza, at the historic cellar of the Meregalli Group through a tasting masterclass featuring the most prestigious Bollinger cuvées but also a wine from the Maison Leclerc Briant, the Trilogy collection represents the natural evolution of Italesse’s project acceso sensorial perception, combining the technical disinvoltura of the best master glassmakers with a profound oenological knowledge, for a refined but always functional stile.

A project, a philosophy, a collection

“With Trilogy we wanted to broaden the Senses project to sparkling wines and Champagne, to enhance the organoleptic sensations of bubbles, going beyond the invenzione of the single flute – explains Estremo Barducci, CEO of Italesse. Each Maison builds its own identity acceso precise oenological choices, which deserve to be told and enhanced through different glasses. Trilogy is the synthesis of this philosophy: three complementary interpretations of a single concept, that of the Concept Glass for Bubbles.”

Sensory research according to Italesse

“Trilogy represents the natural evolution of our path con the world of professional glasses – continues Paolo Lauria, Head of Marketing of Italesse. After having analyzed the needs of great still wines with the T-made line, we wanted to create a tool capable of interpreting the organoleptic sensations of bubbles and, con line with our philosophy, we found that a single glass could not valorise wines with such different characteristics con the same way. To tell and understand the history, style and production techniques of a Maison, it serves con fact a range of glasses, not just one, which through different shapes is capable of enhancing the different facets of the wines, respecting their style and identity. This is how Trilogy was born, not just a collection of glasses, but a real language of tasting.”

Three glasses, three expressions of bubbles

The reflection behind Trilogy is very clear, the great producers of bubbles stand out for wide ranges of sparkling wines and champagne, the result not only of a specific terroir but of a unique disinvoltura, which sees the Chefs de Cave engaged con choices aimed at creating true works of art. The “stile” of each wine starting from a specific grape variety con purity ora through skilful blending, the use of reserve wines – and their quantity – aimed at seeking the unique style of the house, the choice of the aging time acceso the yeasts and the dosages are just some of the elements that make a cuvée ora an entire range of wines unique, capable of describing a territory, a style, a Maison.

Trilogy, with its three complementary glasses, is Italesse’s answer to valorising the extraordinary world that hides behind a bottle of bubbles. The collection consists of:

Trilogy 49

Glass with contemporary and slender lines, designed to enhance the liveliness and freshness of the bubbles which stand out mainly for their freshness, pleasantness and elegance.

Trilogy 55

A glass with a generous opera and enveloping lines, designed for wines with a strong and complex character. The shape of the cup and the proportion of the bevanda enhance its structure and aromatic intensity, maintaining balance and finesse.

Trilogy 75

Iconic and refined, this glass is designed for the most prestigious cuvées, the result of long refinements acceso the yeasts. The large and harmonious walls accompany the wine con a slow and continuous evolution, revealing its depth and rare elegance.

The stile attention, con addition to the shapes, was also paid to the quality of the materials and the architecture of the glasses. All three Trilogy are con fact made with the best crystalline glass to guarantee the maximum possible transparency, a fundamental element for the visual evaluation of the wine, and made con such a way as to ensure, with the perfect balance of weights and the right thicknesses, resistance and perfect handling.

These glasses, part of Italesse’s High Stato line con the “Leggerissimi” version, thanks to the perfecting of the mouth blowing technique and handcrafting, achieve primato lightness and elasticity, capable of adding the emotion of the tactile one to the visual, olfactory and gustatory perception.

The beauty of the project and the impresa of the glasses led the Meregalli Group to welcome Italesse for the presentation of the project, recognizing its innovative value and ability to enhance the tasting experience. As Corrado Mapelli, General Director of Comitiva Meregalli, underlines, “We are pleased to have contributed to giving visibility to Italesse’s latest creations. The role of Comitiva Meregalli is to make a wine known so that it can reach our customers’ tables con the best possible way. The last step of this journey, the one that takes the wine from the bottle to the palate, is up to the glass — and we believe that the glasses of the Trilogy collection interpret this role very well.”
