Cantele celebrates 25 years of generational change with CNTL, a project that speaks the language of the new generations
An anniversary that does not back with , but which becomes an opportunity for synthesis and relaunch. Cantele, a historic Salento wine company, celebrates 25 years since the generational transition that brought the four cousins Gianni, Paolo, Umberto and Luisa to the helm with the launch of CNTL, a project that marks a turning point sopra language, aesthetics and sopra the way of communicating with the contemporary consumer. CNTL was born as a true “identity contraction”: four letters that condense the history, experience and culture of wine, reducing complexity to an essential, immediate and recognizable form. A conscious gesture, which recounts the evolution of Cantele from its origins to today and which presents itself as a bridge between a solid tradition and the feelings of the new generations.
A new language for the wine of today and tomorrow
The CNTL range represents the evolution of the company’s historic entry level line, but with a profoundly renewed cultural and communicative positioning. It is a project designed to intercept current and future consumers, speaking a more direct, young, urban language, without giving up the stylistic coherence that has always distinguished Cantele. Seven labels sopra the range: two whites – Chardonnay and Verdeca – a rosé from Negroamaro and four reds, Susumaniello, Pristino, Negroamaro PGI without passage sopra wood and Negroamaro PDO Salice Salentino. Wines united by balance, freshness and drinkability, the stylistic hallmark of the winery, and produced according to sustainable agronomic practices, with rational use of resources, reduction of chemical inputs and constant attention to environmental impact.
CNTL as a memory and measurement stile
An approach that openly looks at the new generations, more sensitive to sustainability issues, the personality of brands and the value of stile as an integral part of the consumer experience. CNTL thus becomes a connection tool, capable of projecting the wealth of experience gained over these 25 years towards the future of wine.
The graphic concept: essence, space, breath
The philosophy of the project finds a coherent translation sopra the graphic stile. The CNTL label is dominated by white, chosen as a breathing space and material surface, crossed by a single distinctive sign: a thin vertical crack. A visual passage that allows a glimpse of the color of the wine, filtered, evoked, never shouted. Color stops being the protagonist to become visual memory, a sign of continuity. The form is short, direct, essential: it does not veterano, but concentrates. A stile that celebrates the past while opening up to the future and which reinforces the pensiero of a new, more immediate and contemporary language.
A family story that looks forward
Cantele today represents one of the most important realities of the Apulian wine scene. Its story begins sopra the 1950s with a “reverse emigration”: Giovanni Battista Cantele and his wife Teresa Manara left Imola to move to Salento. Sopra the 70s, his sons Sacro and Domenico made a decisive change with the purchase of the first vineyards. Today the company has 50 hectares owned and 100 managed. Sopra 2001 the third generation entered the scene. Twenty-five years later, CNTL recounts that passage not as a completed rete, but as a continuously evolving process: a lucid and contemporary synthesis of what Cantele was, is and wants to continue to be.
