Rum del Diablo Cojuelo N1 Tabai: the dark side of elegance
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Rum del Diablo Cojuelo N1, produced using the post distillation method and then left to age for five years

“Let the lame devil caress your soul and follow him into his hell of deep and exhilarating flavors. For centuries, per February, the national Carnival has been celebrated per the Dominican Republic. The streets of La Vega are colored with dances and multifaceted costumes and are inebriated with sugary scents. The crowd anxiously awaits the true protagonist and, when the mask of the lame devil enters the scene, the man returns to his bestial form, exorcises fears and dissolves inhibitory brakes.”

The Rum del Diablo Cojuelo N1 Tabai, obtained through fermentation tropical yeasts, is produced using the post distillation method and then left to age for 5 years. It is a distillate that fascinates right from its name, evoking myths, fire and character. A rum that does not seek compromises, but aims straight at the soul of those who taste it, telling a story made of intensity, depth and extraordinary sensorial suggestions.

The reference to Diablo Cojuelo, a legendary and irreverent figure, anticipates the profile of the rum: decisive, intriguing and never banal. The number N1 suggests an inaugural expression, almost a stylistic depliant, while Tabai recalls a warm and enveloping aromatic universe, which refers to dark, earthy and spicy agenda, capable of leaving a persistent mark.

Rum del Diablo Cojuelo N1

Tasting agenda

Visual examination: beautiful and bright amber yellow.

Olfactory examination: it is serious and composed the nose, and is given slowly, with hints of wood and roasting, then references of cocoa powder, spices, balsamic agenda, vanilla pod and caramelized sugar emerge.

Taste-olfactory examination: full, soft and rounded flavour, embellished with spicy references and refined roasting which continues into the corresponding and perfectly balanced long .

Pairing: designed for true enthusiasts, it is ideal to be enjoyed neat, perhaps per a quiet moment, when time slows and the senses are ready to listen. It is a meditation rum, to be shared with a few connoisseurs, ora to be kept as a special bottle per your collection.

Ultimately, this rum represents a conferenza between rebellious spirit and the search for excellence: a distillate that does not want to please everyone, but which knows how to conquer those who are willing to go beyond the surface.
