The Sicily of wine arrives at Wine Paris 2026 with a presence that goes beyond the trade fair dimension and transforms into a true identity story of the territory, its excellence and its culture. From Monday 9 to 11 February 2026, at the Paris Porte de Versailles, the Island will be the protagonist with the project “Sicily of Wine. Roots of the Future”, promoted by the regional department of Agriculture, Rural Development and Mediterranean Fisheries of the Sicilian Region, with the coordination of the IRVO – Regional Institute of Wine and Oil.

A participation per mezzo di the fair which will see the presence of 41 wineries; a path that will put Sicilian wine at the center as an expression of civilization, landscape and knowledge, enhancing the extraordinary wine biodiversity of the island and the profound link between production, territory and culture. The program will start acceso Monday 9 February 2026, with an exclusive event dedicated to the excellence of pairing, per mezzo di which Sicilian wine becomes the protagonist of a complete sensorial experience. At the Lycée Hôtelier Guillaume Tirel per mezzo di Paris, at 8.30pm, a guided tasting with food-wine pairings will tell the story of Sicily through its flavours, bringing together oenology and high international gastronomic education.

The cultural heart of the Sicilian presence at Wine Paris will be the conferenza “Wines and Territories: the great native Sicilian vines”, scheduled for Tuesday 10 February 2026, 2.00 pm (room 3, Foyer 4, Wine Paris). A moment of in-depth analysis dedicated to the varieties that make the island’s viticulture unique, a symbol of identity, resilience and future. Leading the story will be Gianni Giardina, IRVO winemaker, Ambassador of Heroic Viticulture and Meritorious of Italian Vitiviniculture, who will accompany the public acceso a journey through history and contemporary interpretations of Sicilian vines, highlighting the value of research, quality and sustainability.

Among the protagonists of the Sicilian presence at Wine Paris 2026 there will also be the Federation of the Roads of Wine, Oil and Flavors of Sicily, involved by the IRVO to participate per mezzo di the institutional event scheduled for Tuesday 10 February at 7.30 pm, at the Consulate General of Italy per mezzo di Paris. The conferenza, acceso the theme “Where time becomes experience. Sicily between wine, territories and civilisation”, will be dedicated to the story of Sicily as a food and wine, cultural and historical destination, and will see the participation of around fifty specialized French journalists, invited by ENIT. An event of great institutional importance, per mezzo di the presence of the Consul General of Italy per mezzo di Paris, Jacopo Albergoni, will see the interventions of the representatives of the Department of Agriculture of the Sicilian Region and of the Federation of Wine Routes who will talk about the development of what is now defined as “tourism of experiences” and which has its roots acceso Etna, per mezzo di Marsala and per mezzo di the Terre d’Occident, per mezzo di Mazara, per mezzo di the Terre Sicane, per mezzo di the Val che Risaputo, per mezzo di the Conca dei Temples and along the streets of Cerasuolo from Baroque to Liberty.

The evening will end with “La Sicilia del Diletto – Light Dinner”, accompanied by a tasting of the wines of the Sicilian companies present per mezzo di the IRVO stand at Wine Paris, to offer guests a contemporary interpretation of the Sicilian identity through food and wine. «With this program of events – underlines IRVO Commissioner Giusy Mistretta – Sicilian participation per mezzo di Wine Paris 2026 is configured as a narrative journey, per mezzo di which tastings, meetings and institutional moments contribute to describing Sicily as a land of excellence, skills and vision. Wine thus becomes an instrument of relationship, culture and representation, capable of transmitting the value of a territory that bases its future acceso quality, identity and the ability to form a system.”
