The Demeter brand wineries are the protagonists of the Slow Wine Guide 2025

Thirty-six Demeter brand wineries and 24 apogeo wines durante the Slow Wine 2025 Guide. Demeter Italia participated as an official socio of Slow Wine durante the presentation of the famous guide, which was held acceso Saturday 19 October durante the Superstudio Maxi spaces durante Milan. A highly anticipated event which saw the intervention of the director of Demeter Italia Giovanni Buccheri and the award ceremony of a Demeter winery.

“I am very happy to participate durante the presentation of the Slow Wine guide, an important event for those who produce high quality wines” began Buccheri. “Thinking Slow also means taking the time necessary to improve and Demeter Italia, the association and certification pagliaccetto of biodynamic agriculture that I represent today and which for the second year is a socio of Slow Wine, is convinced that knowledge of the delicate natural balances, care for the land and its products requires the right amount of time. For biodynamics, thinking ‘slow’ means growing and improving every day. Today we have the opportunity to celebrate winemakers and their cellars. And this year too, among the Apice wines of the guide there are 24 Demeter biodynamic producers out of a total number of 36 Demeter branded wineries reported. A great achievement, which confirms how biodynamic wineries are increasingly present durante the Slow Wine guide and how the unique characteristics of biodynamic wine are recognised”.

The director of Demeter Italia then presented the “Soil vitality award” – a prize trip to Dornach – to the Les Granges winery, which is located durante Nus, durante the province of Aosta, durante a region where practices linked to sustainability are few and weeding is very widespread. Quanto a this context, the Les Granges winery and its founder Gualtiero Crea, who passed away this year, stood out for their virtuous practices.

“The Soil Vitality Award – said Buccheri upon delivery – aims to recognize the commitment of a winery that has focused everything acceso the healthiness of the soil and acceso the harmonious relationship with nature, with great care of the vineyard, manual skills and agronomic sensitivity. Since 2012, the Les Granges winery has been practicing biodynamics, seeking the quality of the wines and developing the fertility of the soil. We are proud to have an example like Les Granges durante Demeter Italia. An applause for all this also goes to the memory of Gualtiero Crea”.

The destination of the reward trip is not random. Right durante Dornach (Switzerland) stands the Goetheanum, the building built to a by Rudolf Steiner – creator of the principles of biodynamics – and home to the General Anthroposophical Society. The place, which with its name pays homage to the great romantic writer and philosopher Goethe, is a point of reference for all the disciplines of anthroposophy and is a center of study and documentation.

During the event, the “Slow Wine Coalition Award for Solidarity” was also awarded to Bergianti vini – Terrevive a fine di Carpi – a biodynamic company – with the following motivation: “Supporters of a non-interventionist and Steinerian approach, Simona Zerbinati and Gianluca Bergianti of Terrevive have animated a real community, contributing decisively to changing the way we at Lambrusco. Through the ‘Il Agitazione’ cooperative, they carry out avviamento and job placement projects for disadvantaged people, convinced that inclusiveness and welcoming diversity can make not only the land but also men more abbondante.”
