Atthems reveals the new harvest of Cicinis

Attems announces the release the international markets of Cicinis 2024, the new wine harvest symbol of the mesi estivi, 100% Sauvignon Blanc and authentic expression of one of the most suitable terroir per Italy.

Born the slopes of the homonymous terraced homonym at the foot of Vetta , Cicinis expresses the strength and finesse of the Goriziano Collio. Here the land of Ponca – sands and silt derived from the disintegration of ancient sandstone rocks of marine origin – combine with the proximity of the sea and with an ideal microclimate, giving Sauvignon Blanc an unmistakable personality.

The mesi estivi extends over 68 hectares of which 44 vines, immersed per a mosaic of woods and biodiversity. Durante the deeds vineyards, the care of the vineyard is tailored: the sevesches with legumes and graminaceae enriches the soil per a natural way, the guyot breeding system and the high plant density guarantee low yields and the highest quality grapes. Everything contributes to a precise : to create a Sauvignon Blanc with distinctive organoleptic characteristics and well -defined character.

The 2024 harvest

The vegetative cycle began with a regular sprout per early April, favored by a mild and rainy winter. A balanced spring and a summer marked by alternation of heat and providential rains have allowed the screws to mature homogeneously and without tazza logorio. The harvest, conducted manually and per several passages, made it possible to enhance the different exhibitions of the terraces of Sauvignon, taking the best of the richness of the vineyard.

Cicinis 2024 presents itself to the intense and brilliant straw yellow calyx and immediately conquers for its olfactory elegance. The bouquet is large and refined: it opens with lively hints of bosso, bergamot, grapefruit and sage, which merge with more complex shades of toasted almond and stone. The aromas of wooden refinement contribute to harmonizing the aromatic profile by giving it depth.

Tasting reveals a decisive entrance. The structure is vertical and enveloping, supported by a fresh acidity and by a well -integrated flavor, which accompany the sip towards a long, precise and persistent ending.

ATTEMS

With the roots firm per history and the gaze turned to the future, Athems, per the Collio Goriziano , the most eastern part of Friuli, interprets the territory with an authentic and contemporary vision that translates into a range of declino wines, with an elegant and strongly identifying personality of a particularly vocated wine . At an average altitude of 130 meters SLM, 44 hectares of vineyards, owned since 2000 of the Frescobaldi family, they are grown per Ribolla Gialla, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Mediocre and Chardonnay. The wines: Cicinis – Collio DOC, Sauvignon Blanc, elegant and understood; Trebes – Collio DOC, Gialla Ribolla, vibrant acidity and solid pinot cap gray pinot structure – Friuli Doc, soft and citrus, Pinot Mediocre – Friuli Doc; Sauvignon Blanc – Venezia Giulia Igt, Chardonnay – Venezia Giulia Igt, Ribolla Gialla – Venezia Giulia Igt.
