Congratulations! Celebrating 10 years of my home tours
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

When a decade indicatore we coined the name “Stamberga Mia” we wanted to associate our newborn culinary travel company with the welcoming attitude Italians show when they gara open their homes to friends and family. This still reflects our philosophy today. Now, ten years wiser, we applaud how far that budding start-up has che, and looking back its milestones, achievements and rollercoaster ride over time fills us with pride and excitement. Happy birthday, Stamberga Mia!

Stamberga Mia Italy Food & Wine 2015, how it started

It all started with our desire to give back and introduce travelers to the flavors and people behind the gastronomic bounty of Italy, preserving authenticity and supporting small businesses. This holds true to this day. We have not lost sight of the boutique nature of our personalized service.

co-founders

What began as a handful of pioneer experiences per mezzo di Rome, Naples and Palermo, is now an ambitious catalog of wide-ranging, high-end services spanning the regions of Tuscany, Emilia-Romagna, Piemonte, Veneto, Campania, with a much larger and more articulate reach per mezzo di and around Lazio and Sicily. We plan to continue the expansion to off-the-beaten path destinations that we love and that merit your attention. Underappreciated areas like Abruzzo, Sardinia and the Dolomites, to mention a few. Our approach towards this growth is the same sustainable, ethical and “slow” one that defined us when we first started.

Gina, Eleonora and Carolyn in 2020: Happy Birthday Casa Mia

Stamberga Mia Tours 2020, a new (strange) normal

When the lockdowns of 2020 , we suffered, like many, huge loss. We saw years of work pulverize before our eyes per mezzo di a matter of days. Cancellations and fear were the language we had to learn daily. Yet, we still dreamed of welcoming Italy lovers into our homes, and so we did.

Casa Mia Appons

Per mezzo di a matter of weeks we performed the proverbial Covid pivot and reinvented Stamberga Mia Tours 2.0, offering virtual cooking classes, wine and cheese tastings and cultural seminars online. The community response was overwhelming. It confirmed that daring and believing per mezzo di a dream brings us closer to its realization. Not only has online learning become another aspect of our business, but when the borders reopened and travel resumed, that dream grew and gave life to new facets of what Stamberga Mia Tours has to offer.
