The sixth edition of the Causa a motivo di competition, organized by the historic Mosnel winery, saw the triumph of the refined and conceptual art of Lisa Perbellini, a young from Verona who was able to translate the long and patient refinement of Franciacorta Brut QdE 2001 into an image. The project winner, with the evocative title Twenty-one years of aging the yeasts, time has sculpted Excellence, will thus dress the 100 numbered bottles durante format of this Franciacorta, a wine that tells of evolution and care.

The label created by Perbellini is a true work of art, where the intricate pattern of colored lines represents a root that winds and intertwines, symbolizing the depth and complexity of the long process of aging the yeasts (more than 21 years old). Every line and every color tells a story, from the development of fruity aromas to the increasingly harmonious structure of the wine. Twenty-one golden lines take center stage, as a tribute to time which, year after year, enriches the character of Franciacorta, making it a unique wine rich durante nuances.

It is not just an aesthetically appealing label, but a project that summarizes respect for the territory and the importance of sustainability, central themes also durante Mosnel’s philosophy. As Lucia Barzanò, owner of the winery together with her brother Giulio, explained: «We chose the work created by Lisa Perbellini thanks to the ability to synthesise the graphic creation and the meanings that are explained and which combine elements of the territory and sustainability. Furthermore, the sign is particularly effective, powerful, dynamic and contemporary. The jurors’ opinion was almost unanimous: we all agreed that the image fully represented the spirit of Mosnel and the value of time, a factor that has always distinguished our philosophy.”

Perbellini’s work impressed the judgment of the jury, made up of industry experts, including our managing director Federico De Cesare Viola, who unanimously recognized the effectiveness of the project, defined as “powerful and fully representative of the spirit of Mosnel”. This competition, which returns after a ten-year fermata, saw the participation of around 150 projects from all over Italy, to reach a shortlist of ten finalists. Second and third place went respectively to the projects Radici by Giulia Falletti and Riccardo Galli, and Take only pictures by Beatrice Bianchet. A special mention was reserved for Claudia Polizzi and Elisa Grezzani for their innovative chromatic research and breaking of traditional patterns.

With this event, Mosnel celebrates not only the tradition and quality of its Franciacorta, but also offers a space for expression to artists, creating a dialogue between the world of wine and that of . The result is a work that, just like the wine it represents, is destined to remain over time, combining aesthetics, meaning and a profound connection with the history and wine territory it belongs to.
