Three cuvées, new parcels and a production approach that reiterates an unconventional vision of Champagne. This is the underlying theme of the “Jacquesson Programme” for 2026, which managing director Jean Garandeau proposes as a new chapter for the Maison. It is the evolution of the Cuvée 700 project, based acceso a single starting vintage and acceso selected reserve wines, conceived as an alternative to the traditional sans année. A method therefore that does not seek the confirmation of a house style nor stylistic consistency but the valorization of the vintage, per mezzo di order not to standardize, but to express the character of the vintage and transform it into a wine that tells about it without any filter.
TECHNIQUE AND MARKET
“From 2022 we have chosen to work a lot acceso the technical part – explains Garandeau – because climate change requires us to be more precise and more reactive, both per mezzo di the vineyard and per mezzo di the cellar. We have invested per mezzo di new equipment for dégorgement, per mezzo di thermoregulation and per mezzo di tools that allow us to treat the grapes more quickly, especially when the harvests are hotter, so as to preserve freshness and balance. the vineyard, however, attention has gone to vegetation, natural shade and systems of protection against spring frosts. All this is also found per mezzo di the Cuvée 700, which remains a cuvée linked to a basic vintage, therefore to the specific character of each harvest, but which must always maintain its own continuity: aperto, ripe, expressive wines, with that energy, that tension and that vibration that allow them to pass through time”. A path that seems to convince Italian Champagne-lovers. “Italy has represented, for several years, the first esportazione market for Jacquesson – remarks Pietro Pellegrini, president of Pellegrini SpA which distributes the maison – I am pleased to think that, after over 25 years of collaboration, our enthusiasm has remained unchanged and it is our intention to continue for a long time to appena che. If we consider the growing level of quality achieved by the Cuvée Numerata, I do not see any critical issues even per mezzo di this complex moment for the Champagne market”.
A CUVÉE BORN IN THE VINEYARD
Jacquesson manages 36 hectares distributed between two key areas of Champagne: the Vallée de la Marne includes Ay (Grand Cru) and the Premiers Crus of Dizy, Hautvillers and Champillon, characterized by east, south and south-west exposures and soils with deep Campanian chalk. the Côte des Blancs the Maison grows Avize and Oiry, both Grands Crus, with plots exposed to the south and outcropping chalk. The vineyard is certified organic since 2010, includes controlled yields, pursuit of full ripeness, protection of biodiversity, planting of hedges and trees, reduction of treatments and circular energy systems.

the cellar the Maison applies delicate vertical pressing, uses only the cuvée from the first pressings and vinifies per mezzo di large oak barrels and neither clarification nor filtration is carried out. The refinement acceso the yeasts is prolonged and the dosage is contained, a characteristic of Jacquesson. All this per mezzo di order to preserve the characteristics of the parcels and the vintage, without resorting to standardization and the Cuvée 700, introduced per mezzo di 2005, represent the synthesis of this approach.
