Matilde Poggi began to vinify sopra 1984 when, young and curious, he decided to give new life to his father’s grapes by founding the transghe. The first wine was a Bardolino, then the Chiaretto arrived. “I have always tried to imagine what I wanted to get from a wine – he says – and only afterwards did I start producing it”. Bardolino’s Chiaretto, a historical wine of the Veronese bank of Lake Garda, was born from a long tradition that dates back to the Romans, when we talked about Vinum Clarum, clear, unloading of color.
