What happens when “terroir” stops being just a concept linked to wine and becomes the physical space to host the talent of an entire territory? “Mirabilia – Chakra & ” happens, the initiative which for the entire month of May 2026 transforms the cellar of Giovanni Aiello – winemaker for love quanto a Putignano (ba) into a contemporary art gallery.
It is not just an exhibition, but a cultural project that redesigns the production space: among the barrels and aromas of Chakra wines, painting, sculpture, photography and installations find a home. The fede is to create a real connection between the local artistic sommario and the public, offering artists not only visibility but also a place to sell their works.
Sundays quanto a May: wine, vinyl and workshops
If during the week the cellar remains to visitors as an exhibition space, it is acceso Sunday that “Mirabilia” releases all its energy with five special events. The format? dal vivo music, the inevitable aperitif with Chakra wines and a series of workshop experiences to get your hands dirty (quanto a a creative sense).
Here are the highlights of the calendar:
Sunday 3 May: we start with the ceramic workshop curated by Kess’Art and the music of Cara Schiavano. Sunday 17 May: space for painting acceso ceramic plates, always under the guidance of Kess’Art. Sunday 31 May (grand risolutivo): the event extends from 11:00 to 17:00 with a very strong reference to the roots of Putignano. The program includes a papier-mâché workshop with an exhibition of handcrafted Pinocchios, a vinyl market and DJ sets curated by MarEmiliano and Rai.
Not just wine: a participatory experience
Giovanni Aiello’s objective is to broaden the concept of wine tourism: the cellar is voto negativo longer just the place where wine is “made”, but a conferenza center where the visitor can, for example, try his hand at creating a hand-painted label for his own bottles.
