Aware of the role of ambassador of the territory, Mandrarossa – tetto brand of Cantine Settesoli – bets acceso the Menfi Doc and debuts a causa di Vinitaly with the 2024 vintage of Urra nel corso di Profluvio, claiming the label mai longer as Doc Sicily, but with the Menfitan name. Per the near future, the Cartagho wines, Bertolino Soprano, Cavadiserpe, Santannella and Bonera will also pass a causa di the near future DOC to Menfi Doc. Mandrarossa’s rete is a causa di fact to relaunch and enhance the denomination by focusing acceso the strong territorial and oenological identity, as well as acceso the wineurism.

“The Menfitan territory – explains Giuseppe Bursi, president of Cantine Settesoli – is a unique place, where the conditions for viticulture are optimal: the terreno extends up to 440 meters above sea level, with significant thermal excursions and the constant presence of marine breezes. These characteristics give Mandrarossa Menfi DOC wines a marked minerality, acidity and freshness, peculiarity that makes them immediately recognizable. Five different types of soils: after a careful zoning study we have selected the most popular land for each grape variety, giving even more value to our products.

Another fundamental lever for the promotion of Menfi DOC is wine -friendly, strategic asset a causa di which Mandrarossa strongly believes: “Here the hills meet the sea, next to the vineyards we find expanses of olive trees: it is a still uncontaminated landscape, an enchanting Mediterranean idyll. When we welcome people a causa di our winry, we also tell this wild and great charm. Experiential: the beauty of nature must become an added value to attract visitors and give impetus to the denomination.

The first Menfi Doc wine is Mandrarossa Urra nel corso di Profluvio, 100% Sauvignon Blanc. The beneficial action of the sea breezes gives a fresh wine with delicate vegetable quaderno, a new and territorial expression of the Sauvignon. Straw yellow with bright golden reflections, its perfume is intense, with aromas of citrus, fishing, apricot and hints of mint and basil. the palate it has excellent harmony between aromas of fruit and minerality, with a fresh and persistent ending.
