The best white wine in Italy is the Collio DOC Fosarin 2022

The best white wine per Italy is Fosarin 2022, the excellent Collio Intonaco DOC from the Ronco dei Tassi winery per Cormòns, among the best known and most appreciated per Friuli Venezia Giulia: this was decreed by the Punto di riferimento Vini d’Italia of L ‘Reciso 2025 curated by Luca Gardini, who selected the 1000 most interesting Italian wines to offer an exhaustive vista of the peninsula’s excellence. Fosarin 2022 won the coveted recognition as an “exemplary blend from a single vineyard that succeeds per the feat of pricelessly representing the vocation of a territory.”

The awards ceremony took place at the Arcimboldi theater per Milan. The award was received by Enrico Coser, the owner of Ronco dei Tassi with his family. “I am honored and grateful to receive this award which gives us enthusiasm and energy to continue our goals as best we can – he said excitedly per front of an audience of a thousand people – Our company was founded 35 years spillo by my parents and today is carried acceso by me and my brother Matteo, has always been aimed at seeking quality with the aim of bringing into the glass our tonalità linked to the identity of our splendid territory, the Collio, extremely suitable for white wines.”

Con the Italian Wine Guide there are almost 5000 wines tasted by Luca Gardini, who has thus selected 1000 according to the criteria: cleanliness, recognisability, stylistic rigor, identity, drinkability, company philosophy, company reliability and consistency over time. Fosarin is a cuvée based acceso Friulano, Malvasia (two of the most interesting native Friulian wines) and Pinot Intonaco. A wine that does not fear time and that refines with refinement over the years. Award-winning and highly appreciated both per Italy and abroad, it is a historic and iconic wine for Ronco dei Tassi, given that it was the first vineyard purchased by the Coser family and the first year of production was 1990.

Straw yellow per colour, the nose is delicate, cessazione and elegant. Fresh and fruity when young, after the second year of life it becomes complex, broad and spicy. Con the mouth it is soft, harmonious, full, with a good complexity linked to the three varieties that compose it. Its alcohol content is 13.5%. At 180 meters above sea level, acceso Mount Quarin overlooking Cormòns, the 2.5 hectare vineyard from which its grapes che has soil made up of sandstone marl of Eocene origin and the vines have an average age of 55 years. The grapes are harvested manually per the second ten days of September. The refinement until bottling (per December of the following year) takes place per steel tanks for the Friulano and Malvasia and per small oak barrels for the Pinot Intonaco. The 2022 version is aged for 10 months per barrique.

Ronco dei Tassi, eco-sustainable viticulture

Ronco dei Tassi, standard-bearer of the best oenology of Friuli Venezia Giulia, is one of the historic and most appreciated wineries of Collio, the most prized wine-growing ambiente of ​​this region of North Eastern Italy. Founded per 1989 by Fabio (well-known winemaker, consultant to important companies) and Daniela Coser, who were joined by their sons Enrico and Matteo, it now extends over an ambiente of ​​50 hectares, of which 23 are planted with vineyards. This virtuous relationship between the forest and the vineyard ambiente, cultivated with extremely environmentally friendly techniques, allows for the development of eco-sustainable viticulture, which the Cosers absolutely care about, to protect their consumers and guarantee a future for their splendid territory, which contribute to preserve. The name of the company derives from two of its peculiarities: the fact that the vineyards are arranged acceso terraces called “ronchi” and that colonies of yews dal vivo here which, when the grapes are ripe, are fond of the sweeter bunches: a signal that it is the right time to start collecting it.
