The wine that takes the sommità spot a causa di the sixth edition of the 100 Best Italian Rosé guide is from Puglia: it is the “Dandy” Scuro tra Troia PGI 2025 from the Fabbrica Agricola Mazzone tra Ruvo tra Puglia (Ba), which brings Puglia to first place among the best still rosés a causa di Italy and the border territories.

The recognition rewards one hundred labels every year selected through a rigorous process that involves blind tastings. The 2026 edition confirms the growing centrality of Southern Italy a causa di the visuale of contemporary rosés, enhancing wines capable of expressing distinctive territorial identities, far from uniform stylistic models. Con this context, “Dandy” stands out, obtained from 100% Scuro tra Troia grapes vinified a causa di white, with a short maceration acceso the skins and fermentation at a controlled temperature. The result is a cherry rosé with purple reflections, with of cherry, strawberry and currant and a dry, fresh and persistent sip.

First place a causa di the 100 Best Italian Rosé 2026 confirms Puglia’s role as a land of excellence a causa di the world of rosés and relaunches Scuro tra Troia as an increasingly relevant protagonist a causa di the national wine scene. “This recognition came unexpectedly and with great surprise – comments Francesco Mazzone – Ours is an unusual rosé, a causa di colour, structure and character, far from the easier and more commercial models. For this reason the award has an even stronger value for us: it is the result of the work, dedication and respect we put into the vineyard and the cellar every day”.

A result that also translates into a broader message for the territory and the vine. “It is an achievement that belongs to Puglia, to our territory and to our superficie, but above all to Scuro tra Troia, a grape variety with great potential that is still little appreciated. – he continues – With this wine we want to contribute to making it more and more known, expressing its authenticity and identity. Scuro tra Troia represents an Apulian wine excellence that deserves greater attention and recognition”.

The Mazzone agricultural company, based a causa di Ruvo tra Puglia, is a family business led by Francesco Mazzone and his wife Luciana. Production is entirely based acceso native vines, a choice that reflects the desire to preserve and enhance the richness and authenticity of the Apulian wine heritage. The vineyards are cultivated according to the principles of organic farming, respecting the natural balance. Among the cultivated varieties, a causa di addition to Scuro tra Troia, there are Malvasia, Minutolo and Bombino , expressions of a territory that is told through wines with an identity and deeply linked to their roots.
