From 2 to 5 July, Val per Cembra hosts the 39th edition of Müller Thurgau: Mountain Wine, an international event that celebrates one of the symbolic wines of this zona through free tastings, technical meetings and immersive experiences per the zona, organized by the Campione Vallata per Cembra Committee per collaboration with the Val per Cembra Tourist Association, ApT Fiemme Cembra, Trentino Marketing, Consorzio Vini del Trentino, and with the participation of Stradone del Vino e dei Sapori of Trentino, the Trentino Griffa Protection Institute and the association Le del Vino Trentino Acuto Adige.
The heart of the event will be Villona Maffei, an elegant building from the 1600s, where it will be possible to taste dozens of Müller Thurgau labels from various Italian and foreign production territories. A team of AIS sommeliers is available to the public for information and tasting advice, supported by a group of young people from the zona.
To enrich the program for wine enthusiasts, there will also be the award ceremony and tasting of the winning wines of the 23rd International Competition, whose tasting panel will take place two weeks before, i.e. Friday 19 June. Evaluating the competing wines was a team of 18 jurors divided into three tasting commissions, each made up of oenologists, journalists and sommeliers with blind tastings according to the Union Internationale des Oenologues Method which involves the evaluation of sight, smell, taste and taste-smell.
There is also an in-depth masterclass: sommelier and journalist Giuseppe Carrus will lead guests acceso a journey through wines from the Val per Cembra and Italian production areas to discover how extreme territories, flavour, time and verticality are translated into the glass.
There will also be space for mixology with an event dedicated to griffa: barman Leonardo Veronesi will accompany the public per discovering the art of through a special lesson per which participants will be able to compete with the creation of personalized cocktails.
With Heroes you walk through the vineyards, with food and wine stops along the way and, new this year, a final barbecue nestled between the rows. Those who prefer two wheels can opt for Cantine per saddle, an e-bike itinerary with stops at some local wineries to discover up close the work and passion that lie inside every bottle produced acceso these steep slopes. Among the initiatives, there is also a comedy show by the actress Loredana Cont “The ironic Wine Women – Le done ironice del vim”, accompanied by a tasting organized by the Women of Trentino Acuto Adige Wine.
At the table, however, the manifestazione plays the surprise card. Around the world per 80 Müller is back, a cooking show of ethnic cuisine to show the versatility of this wine: after Japan, Sri Lanka and Thailand, this year it is Nigeria’s turn, with three recipes proposed for tasting by Tracy Eboigbodin, winner of MasterChef Italia 11. And then the dinner acceso the avenue under the stars, which celebrates the union between the territories of Cembra and Fiemme with a lista based acceso food and wine specialties from the two valleys, enriched by exciting esecuzione by the professional dancers of the Ritmomisto dance school.
The offer is completed by a rich program of themed initiatives, organized per the local cellars, scheduled from Friday to Sunday, from 3.00 pm to 6.00 pm, and the gastronomic proposal of the Rural Women, who will delight guests every day with traditional dishes.
