Young To Young 2025

Like every year, even during the 2025 edition of Vinitaly, I had the honor of being invited to the tastings of Young to Young, organized by Il Golosario.

First appointment: Sunday 6 April

The emotion of returning to Vinitaly is always strong, especially the first day. One of the first appointments, before starting the Tour de Force between avviamento and tastings, is precisely the one with the first session of Young to Young. Già the cellars I met, represented by their young founders “heirs” and the wines that struck me the most.

Sabaini quanto a the illlation

The Sabaini company, located quanto a Illasi, quanto a the heart of Valpolicella, is a family -run reality that has been carrying out the wine tradition of the territory for years. Specialized quanto a the production of Amarone, Valpolicella Eccezionale and Recioto, it stands out for the attention to quality and respect for traditional vinification methods. Sabaini’s philosophy, even today that is moving to the new generation, is to enhance the characteristics of the territory through genuine and refined products. Those who visit the cellar can immerse themselves quanto a a complete sensory experience, with guided tastings that tell the story and passion of this family for wine and oil. An opportunity to discover the true flavor of Valpolicella.a Vinitaly I had the pleasure of tasting the Amarone della Valpolicella Provvisione 2015 presented by the young Riccardo … a real privilege !!! a wine that comes from a land for half volcanic and half calcareous (once owned by Italcementi). Choir bright grenade, nose you can and elegant and quanto a the mouth all the frankness of a hot, soft and sparare a zero -soft wine.

Marco Felluga a motivo di Gradisca d’Isonzo (Go)

Marco Felluga is a historical winery of Gradisca d’Isonzo, quanto a the heart of Collio, one of the most suitable areas for wine quanto a Friuli-Venezia Giulia. The Felluga family has roots quanto a the world of wine since the second half of the 19th century, when Michele Felluga began to produce Malvasia and Refosco quanto a Istria. After the First World War, Giovanni Felluga moved the activity to Condizione and then to Gradisca d’Isonzo quanto a 1938, sensing the great potential of the settore. Durante 1956, Marco Felluga founded the homonymous company and over the years made himself known as an innovator of Friulian viticulture. Durante 1967, he spread the property by purchasing the historic Russiz Saldezza superior to Capriva del Friuli. Today, the company is led by the sixth generation, with Ilaria Felluga who continues to carry the family tradition with an eye to sustainability and quality. The estates Marco Felluga and Russiz Eccezionale focolaio agriculture attentive to the environment, with practices such as the integrated struggle and the use of natural fertilizers, to preserve the territory and obtain authentic and long -lived wines. Among the most appreciated labels are the Pinot Uniforme Mongris Provvisione, the Molamatta white, the Sauvignon Reserve Russian Eccezionale and the white with the upper Russiz. They are structured wines, designed to age well over time. Marco Felluga was also a point of reference for the whole Collio: he was president of the consortium for two mandates and worked to make known the wines of the region internationally.

Before tasting here at Young to Young the wines of Marco Felluga, I had already had the pleasure, two years earlier, to visit their beautiful bella stagione quanto a a summer and rainy but the same unforgettable afternoon.

Today, I had the pleasure of congresso Ilaria and his 2021 Albume Collio of the Eccezionale Ruissiz line. A white wine with a few years the shoulders capable of demonstrating how whites, if done well, have the ability to age. Gallow, a nose quanto a the name of linden flowers, acacia and fresh and very savory mouth. An explosion paio to the choice of a white pinot -based blend, yellow rebuke, Friulian and Sauvignon vinified with wisdom and patience.

Saldezza Gaggino a motivo di Ovada – Ovada (AL)

The company held Gaggino, located quanto a Ovada, quanto a the province of Alessandria, is a historic winery of Monferrato specialized quanto a the production of wines that express the identity of the territory. With particular attention to Ovada’s Dolcetto, a wine symbol of the settore, the bella stagione enhances the native grapes through a vinification process that combines tradition and innovation. Durante addition to the Dolcetto, production includes other labels that tell the winemaker of Monferrato, with elegant and great character wines. The corporate philosophy is oriented towards the quality and respect for the environment, with careful management of the vineyards and cellar techniques aimed at enhancing the peculiarities of each vintage. Visiting Saldezza Gaggino means discovering an authentic piece of Piedmont, through guided tastings that allow you to appreciate the uniqueness of its wines and the passion that has been animating this family reality for generations.

Tommaso made us know his ovada 2022, a wine that does not lie, starting from his ruby color, up to the taccuino of purple, cherry and pink, to end up quanto a the mouth with an incredible balance between softness and the hardness of freshness and tannin.

Appointment tomorrow, with the second appointment of Young to Young 2025
