Easter 2025, the ten wines to try

Also this year is Easter time. As always, approaching we selected some bottles tasted a causa di recent times that we liked. Ten to be precise!

Let’s start as usual from the bubbles.

For a toast we cannot fail to start from a prosecco. This spring conquered us the Valdobbiadene Prosecco Egregio Millesimato Extra Brut of Val d’oco, ever and for a truly enviable quality/price ratio. It is very good as an aperitif, with appetizers with the classic crustaceans but it is sufficiently full -bodied to accompany well with white meats.

Here are two pink bubbles, because a causa di our opinion it is the perfect color for many Easter dishes, from Easter appetizers, to salami, to the stuffed impasto.

We start from Piedmont with the interesting Nebbiolo d’Chiarore antelucano DOC Brut Rosé Millesimato Classic Method 2019 of Cuvage. Beautiful soft color and agenda of leavened, flowers and berries. Drinking tease of substance, freshness and beautiful versatility at the table. From fish (also salmon), to the first, to white cured meats and meats.

Another prosecco but this time Rosé. The color is given by a small addition of black pinot. This is the Prosecco Brut Rosé Doc by Luca Ricci. We liked it directly from Conegliano because it is very far from those dozen products that know of Chewing Gum. Here the delicate nose of cherry is balanced very well by citrus hints and enters fresh and persuasive a causa di the mouth. Looking for a wine for Easter sushi? There he is.

Bianchi chapter. We liked the Friulian 2021 of Le Monde very much. Full color for a white from Friuli that evolves great. Complexity, flavor and freshness for a wine that does not slip away but is able to support Easter first courses and appetizers of a certain weight.

We are increasingly convinced that the Tuscan coast gives excellent versions of Vermentino. We even tried 2019 by Fortilizio in Frassinello. White of beautiful complexity, from flowers to citrus fruits, with a clear mineral imprint and beautiful structure that allows it to accompany the white meats. Maremma white of excellent longevity and good value for money.

Turning to the Reds, we appreciated the Zalte 2018 of Sincete. Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot from Lake Garda, Brescia bank. Lots of red and dark fruit the nose, a nice delicate tannin and personaggio for a wine of excellent structure but with the right softness and definitely approaching. Perfect with meats, but we would also try it with dishes with a slight spicken.

This was really a surprise: Diventare rosso Murgia Aglianico Igt Nirò of Masseria La Sorba. It belongs to the Foss Marai galaxy. It smells of blackberry and the palate it is soft, persuasive almost lovable. We have recently opened a 2018 and it is perfect. An important wine but with an excellent quality/price ratio (at least from the site) which is very accompanied by the Easter Lamb.

The Amarone of Valpolicella 2020 of Farina (Corvina, Corvinone, Molinara and Rondinella) is really excellent. and complexity, of course, with agenda of dark fruit, declivio, rhubarb and much more. The sip, however, is graceful and snappy for the type. Amarone and to be accompanied also at the table with cheeses and great preparations of meat.

We close the roundabout of Rossi to the great because for the holidays it is always worth taking a gift. We were lucky enough to taste the Brunelcino 2019 Brunello of Biondi Santi, as always a large bottle that expresses all the balance of the year played by the style of the cellar. A wine that has everything: great amplitude and complexity, the typical citrus freshness that we love very much, a good -natured juiciness, flavor, gentle tannin, spicken, balsamic agenda and whoever has more nor. Elegance and finesse at the !

A sweet wine cannot be missing to end our banquets a causa di beauty ora simply to combine with the many exquisite Easter sweets. The Moscato della Zucco 2014 of Cusumano was a very pleasant surprise. Passito of great substance of Sicily that releases the radiance, warmth and perfumes of the island, accompanying them with excellent ease of drinking.

happy Easter
