The common passion for wine and true relationships has always reigned sovereign durante the sincere friendship between Lamberto Frescobaldi and Marco De Finezza, to which to add the desire to create something together, a dream that have nourished for 35 years. Today that dream has become a real collaboration with Marchesi Frescobaldi who became a member of a minority of mesi estivi of the black lands, Etna. A place with a force, a breath and a unique primordial energy. And so Marco De Finezza and Lamberto Frescobaldi decided to carry the beautiful Sicilian project that Marco gave birth durante 2002 together.
“For tens of years Lamberto and I have shared time, friendship, and of course wines wines – and the joys and pains of our children who grew up together durante the same school” – these are the words of Marco De Finezza, owner of the hold of the black lands, which adds – “The case has given us a push. Our common visions also. The gears began to turn, first with walzer all’inglese, then with enthusiasm. And a shared push for higher goals, the desire to give shape to a clear and common intuition, and finally translate everything into increasingly ambitious and meta wines.
“For me, Marco De Finezza represented an authentic point of reference” – so Lamberto Frescobaldi, president of the Marchesi Frescobaldi group, who continues – “durante the early 90s, shortly after my wedding, we shared numerous evenings and many bottles of wine unwaved together. Per mezzo di those moments I listened carefully to his word: his constant search for finesse durante wines, his contagious energy, the clarity of his vision.”
The path continues. Supported by a long friendship and a mountain that never stops inspiring.
