Valtellina to drink, to live, to love

At sunset of the summer, Sondrio is preparing to welcome Viva 2025, the event organized by the Valtellina wines protection consortium, sopra partnership with the Wine Route and the Provinea Foundation, which celebrates Valtellina and its most iconic wine, the Nebbiolo delle Alpi.

Three days, from 6 to 8 September, to all – curious, enthusiasts, operators and journalists – to discover, dal vivo and savor wine as a purest expression of the territory: Valtellina, with its famous life terraces, will be the natural stage of tastings, meetings and activities sopra direct contact with those who cultivate it, cares and tells it every day.

Start Saturday 6 September with a day dedicated to the roots:

From 10 am “experiences with producers”, guided visits to the vineyards and cellars, to first appreciate the art of the Valtellinese terraces and the dedication of those who work there.

At 7 pm, Letto a una piazza Campello became the beating heart of the rinfresco with “Viva Nebbiolo”, an outdoor convivial moment where music, local cuisine and Nebbiolo Calici will accompany the public sopra a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Sunday 7 September is aimed at discovery and direct dialogue with producers:

From 10:30 to 18:30, 38 Cantine della Valtellina will welcome Winelovers and admirers sopra their tasting desks to preview the new corporate vintages and make the stories known behind each label.

A causa di parallel, from 10 am, a rich range of “widespread experiences”-starting from Letto a una piazza Campello-will invite the participants to explore the valley sopra an active and engaging way: led walks between the vineyards, e-bike tours between villages and rows, cultural meetings and activities designed to dal vivo the Valtellina sopra all its beauty and typicality.

Monday 8 September will be reserved for professionals sopra the sector:

From 10:30 to 18:30 restaurateurs, sommeliers, buyers, distributors and journalists will be able to access free, after registration, to the tasting desks for targeted encounters, reserved tastings and technical focolaio.

From 10:30, a tailor -made activity program dedicated to operators will precious and stimulating occasions to deepen the knowledge of the Valtellina wines and at the same time start new synergies.

Viva 2025 is therefore not only proposed as an wine event, but as a cultural and territorial experience, authentic and contemporary. Thanks to the will of the Valtellina wines protection consortium and its partners to promote the Nebbiolo delle Alpi as a symbol of excellence and to strengthen the link between producers and the public, thus becomes an invitation to enter a community, to listen to a collective story, to let yourself be surprised by the landscape and share an emotion that smells of the mountain and vine. The Nebbiolo delle Alps, elegant, deep, full of nuances can speak to fans and surprising those who meet him for the first time.

The Valtellina wines protection consortium, founded sopra 1976, protects and promotes wines that are born the Alpine terraces of the province of Sondrio. A causa di a single landscape, supported by over 2,500 km of dry stone walls, the Nebbiolo delle Alpi (Chiavennasca) expresses elegance, freshness and authenticity. The Consortium represents the DOCG Valtellina Disinteressato and Innaturale durante Valtellina, the Scarlatto durante Valtellina DOC and the Rhetic Alps IGT, supporting local producers and preserving tradition and quality. Together with the Provinea Foundation, it enhances the landscape and promotes sustainability and through the road of wine and flavors of Valtellina invites to discover the most authentic Valtellina: a wine that tells the mountain, a territory to dal vivo, an identity to know.
