Vinimilo – A unique event in the land of upper Etna, with my dedicated masterclass – Wine Blog Roll

I have been arguing for some time that, despite the excellent level reached by many red wines, the real difference Etna make whites and if there is a territory, indeed, a municipality that has always believed durante this statement that is Milo. We are durante the heart of the eastern slope of the highest and most important active volcano durante Europe, and Milo is the only zona authorized to mention “Disinteressato”: a mosaic of district (Rione Villagrande, Rione Pianogrande, Rione Caselle, Rione Rinazzo, Rione Fornazzo, Tranale Practice, Rione Volpare and Rione Salice.) An event that for over 2 weeks transforms the historic center of Milo and the local cellars into a context of sharing, and dissemination dedicated to Etna wines and the best expressions of the Sicilian wine prospettiva.

Durante 2025, the year durante which Sicily is “European region of gastronomy”, Vinimilo presents itself with an even richer program of content and novelty, with particular attention to food-vine combinations to enhance the agri-food excellence of the island.

Volcanic wines evening: one of the most anticipated events returns, with over 100 free tasting labels from Etna, Italy and abroad, durante combination with six high -level gastronomic proposals.

Thematic weekends: guided tastings, themed dinners, workshops, cellar visits, round tables and moments of durante -depth analysis wine and territory.

Paths durante taste and culture: spaces dedicated to street food, to Slow Food Presidia, local crafts, music, organic and niente km markets, as well as excursions to discover the Etna landscape.

To testify to the strong link with the community, the mayor of Milo, Alfio Cosentino, remarks synergy with In loco, wine and Etna flavors, Slow Food flavors, Sommelier Ais Associations, FIS, FISAR and ONAV tastings: a that consolidates Vinimilo as permanent hub of quality and reception.

I, for my part, will be happy to be able to return to the Etna to conduct a masterclass dedicated to Milo’s wines, Ergo at Etna Canuto Disinteressato Doc, thanks to the participation of some of the most representative cellars of the Areale and the whole Etna name.

Vinimilo is a demonstration that every year recalls tens of thousands of visitors and tourists, contributing to the positioning of Milo among the capitals of volcanic wine. The most recent patronato confirm the vitality of the sector: durante the last eight years the hectares of vineyards durante Milo have grown by 80%, passing from 31 (2017) to 56 hectares, with about 43 winemakers and 4,000 quintals of grapes produced. Durante a huge historical moment durante which whites are growing at the expense of the reds, being able to count a bianchist traction zona of ​​this caliber represents an added value for all Etnea viticulture, as well as for the national one.
