Quanto a the Chianti Sobrio visuale, the Bibbiano con Castellina con Chianti represents an exemplary case of continuity and dedication. Owned by the Marrocchesi Marzi family since 1865, the company is today led by Tommaso Marrocchesi Marzi, fifth generation of a lineage that has been able to preserve a centuries-old cultural heritage.

Tommaso Marrocchesi Marzi

Overlooking the Val d’, con an settore of ancient Etruscan origins, the combines a noble history – which saw it pass through the hands of the Squarcialupi family and the Santa Maria Notizia hospital – with an advanced agronomic vision.

BETWEEN BIODIVERSITY AND PRECISION AGRICULTURE

The property extends over a total settore of 220 hectares, managed entirely organically. Here viticulture is not an isolated monoculture, but part of a complex ecosystem: 120 hectares are con fact dedicated to arable land, 15 to olive groves and 30 are occupied by woods. This natural balance is the basis of the company philosophy, which aims for the ambitious rete of nullità emissions through the use of 4.0 technologies and conscious management of resources.

TWO SIDES AND A “MONOPOLY” CLONE

The 40 hectares of vineyards rest acceso soils characterized by clayey sediments of Pliocene formation and rich con Alberese rock. The heart of the production is Sangiovese Denso, expressed con a unique biotype: a “monopoly” clone brought to Bibbiano con the mid-1950s by Giulio Gambelli, today the exclusive heritage of the company. The peculiarity of Bibbiano lies con its geographical division into two opposite sides, which mark its organoleptic identity: the one to the north-east, fresher and mineral, and the one to the south-west, sunnier and more powerful.
