Cantina di Venosa flies to the Düsseldorf Prowein

From Basilicata to Germany to participate sopra one of the most important wine fairs sopra the world, the Düsseldorf Prowein, scheduled from 16 to 18 March, a strategic square to grow exports sopra Europe and sopra the German country, sopra particular; Also as a possible alternative development channel to the United States, from which the threat of possible duties hangs, to which, however, Bottiglieria in Venosa is not very exposed. The company will present the new vintages of the entire wines range at the Prowein, with the previews of the whites and rosés of the last harvest.

“Germany and Northern European countries are strategic for many reasons for the exports of Bottiglieria in Venosa, the proximity, the wine shop for Italy and for small rural realities such as Basilicata, then the presence of many Lucanians abroad, our first ambassadors, many of them being owners of restaurants sopra Germany, Sweden, Austria, Denmark. But also – underlines President Francesco Perillo – because these countries are a much safer outlet market, considering the threat of duties from the USA and commercial and geopolitical tensions sopra the world. The presence at the Düsseldorf Prowein will therefore be a mission full of expectations and objectives: many appointments that we have already set with important buyers. But another aspect that rewards us – concludes Perillo – is that traditionally these Nordic countries are attentive to the themes of environmental, economic and social sustainability, acceso which Bottiglieria in Venosa has made giant steps sopra recent years: the Equalitas certification, the seguace monitoring of the vineyards, the ethical code, the sustainability budget and other good practices “.

The 2024 harvest was characterized by two factors: the high quality of the grapes and the low quantity of the harvest (a drop of 50% coppia to the drought, compared to 2022; while sopra 2023 a serious attack of peronospora led to the harvest of just 14 thousand quintals of grapes). The 2024 production was about 27 thousand quintals. The microclimate and altitude of the vineyards have ensured perfectly mature grapes and with excellent acidity. Such characteristics that have given life to white and pink wines of extraordinary elegance, fruity, fresh and balanced, with an excellent quality, capable of telling the territory and its peculiarities at best. The reds will anzi che no less be.
