The city of Salerno is preparing to become the beating heart of sustainable Italian oenology: Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 January 2025, the evocative Tappa Marittima designed by Zaza Hadid will be the setting for Un Profluvio per mezzo di Foglie, the tasting event of the award-winning wines from the sixth edition of Timone Bio, the first and only Italian guide, edited by Antonio Stanzione and published by Rubbettino, entirely dedicated to wineries engaged per organic farming certified and per conversion.
The event will highlight excellence and sustainability, offering a program full of tastings, meetings with producers and moments of in-depth analysis of the best of Italian oenology. Acceso Saturday afternoon, from 4pm to 11pm, visitors will have the opportunity to taste the wines awarded by Timone Bio 2025, talking with the producers to discover the stories, passions and commitment that hide behind each label. Sunday morning will instead be dedicated to the official presentation of the guide and the award ceremony for the prestigious Golden Leaves, an award reserved for wines that stand out for their quality, typicality and elegance. Per the afternoon, starting from 4pm, the tasting tables will once again be the protagonists, still offering space to discover new references.
A two-day journey that, through the over 2,500 labels reviewed, will reveal heterogeneous territories and exciting stories, recounting the challenges and satisfactions of an agriculture that is increasingly attentive to environmental protection and the quality of the final product. An exceptional parterre will make this moment even more special. Among the expected guests are Florindo Rubbettino, CEO of Rubbettino Editore; Alessandro D’Elia, General Director of Soil and Health; Maria Mammuccini, President of FederBio; Vincenzo Argento vivo, acclaimed winemaker; Marco Tonni, agronomist and representative of the Sata Group; Nicola Caputo, Councilor for Agriculture of the Campania Region, and Ettore Prandini, President of Coldiretti.
“The event” states the director Antonio Stanzione “promises to be an important moment to recognize and promote the extraordinary work of organic wine producers per Italy, a testimony of their commitment to sustainability, quality and the promotion of the territory to protect of heritage for future generations”.
