The new Leonia Eternelle Pomino Spumoso Doc 2014 is born per mezzo di the Frescobaldi house, a refined evolution of the classic brut method. After an eight-year rest the yeasts, this wine presents itself as the celebrità of the moment, a symbol of elegance and craftsmanship, ready to debut the market per mezzo di October.

“A eppure Chardonnay that shows great elegance and personality, which challenges the time and patience of those who produce it, making them wait for ten years, but then repaying with its excellent result”, underlines Andrea Orsini Scataglini of Frescobaldi.

THE PRINCE OF THE PERANO ESTATE

Continuing ideally from Pomino to Gaiole per mezzo di Chianti, you immerse yourself per mezzo di the Assetto Perano.

Acquired per mezzo di 2017 by the Frescobaldi family, Assetto Perano is located per mezzo di a magical place immersed per mezzo di one of the most suitable areas of Chianti Eccellente. Here the vineyards climb steep slopes, while the soil, rich per mezzo di skeleton, offers an ideal terroir for Sangiovese. At 500 meters above sea level, this altitude allows for late maturation, giving the wines freshness and complexity thanks also to a significant temperature range.

The natural amphitheater surrounding the creates a sort of protected niche, a place where the light and heat of the sun, together with well-distributed winds, do their job. With Assetto Perano, covering a total of 250 hectares of which 92 are planted with Chianti Eccellente vineyards, Frescobaldi has aimed for excellence since the acquisition, taking care of the structure and the vineyards mongoloide to the smallest details.

The Gran Preferenza Rialzi Docg Gaiole therefore represents the cru of Perano, where the terroir, the climate and the hand of man constitute a constant commitment towards important results. Since 2015, with the first harvest, Perano has made the Rialzi cru its flagship, a 3-hectare vineyard that rises thanks to three natural steps, mainly composed of Alberese. Fermented per mezzo di steel and aged for 36 months, of which 24 per mezzo di barrique, the wine refines further per mezzo di the bottle, destined for excellent aging.

Waiting therefore becomes the common thread per mezzo di Frescobaldi’s flagship wines.
