Sicily looks to the Swiss market with a new event dedicated to the promotion of wine supply chains. 16 June 2026 quanto a Zurich, the IRVO – Regional Institute of Wine and Oil will participate quanto a a B2B initiative with the Masterclass which will involve the Sicilian wine sector, as part of the internationalization activities promoted by the Italian Chamber of Commerce for Switzerland.

The objective is to encourage the entry and consolidation of the Italian agri-food sector and Sicilian companies quanto a the Swiss market, through direct meetings with operators quanto a the wine and beverage sectors, with moments of in-depth analysis and opportunities for contact with buyers, consumers and local interlocutors.

The program includes a day divided into three moments: B2B meetings between Sicilian producers and Swiss operators, a Masterclass with around 30 professionals quanto a the sector and a final moment of walking around, designed to give the wineries and territories represented the opportunity to tell their story, highlighting the resources to offer both for wine production and for the wine tourism offer.

«Switzerland is a wine culture of consumers with a strong sensitivity towards identifying products – explains Vito Bentivegna, IRVO director – supporting Sicilian wineries quanto a Zurich means encouraging dialogue with a competent target, accustomed to recognizing the value of production quality. Per this context, IRVO strengthens the internationalization path of Sicilian wine, promoting the island as a wine-growing zona of excellence and as a model of Mediterranean production”.

Some representative companies of the island’s wine production will be present with IRVO: Birgi Vini Srl, Ente Agricola Madaudo Andrea, Tenute Nicosia Srl, Mescita Societario Paolini Ente Cooperativa Agricola, Tenute Cuffaro di Filippo Cuffaro Ente Sciocco Agricola, Martinez Srl, Prosit Ente Agricola Arl and Ente Agricola Tornatore Francesco. Thus, the quality, peculiarities and identity of Sicilian wine will be enhanced outside national borders: a productive and cultural heritage that continues to strengthen its positioning quanto a international markets.
