The Consortium for protecting Vini Berici and Vicenza, despite the difficulties that the wine market is facing, announces for DOC Colli Berici an increase the padded equal to 10.3% 2024 compared to 2023. A similar growth was not recorded since 2014, specifically the wines born from red berry varieties have been imposed: among the international the Cabernet Sauvignon has reached a +21%, Autochthons stands out the red Tai. Our red wines continue to stand out with significant increases, overcoming the general trend, while the growth of the whites confirms our ability to intercept and interpret the preferences of the contemporary consumer”.

“The positive trend of DOC Colli Berici represents a further incentive to strengthen its identity and the link with the territory, also through the process of modifying the specification, currently being completed. Regarding the harvest , for DOC Colli Berici the 2024 vintage confirms the dominance of the red berry grapes, which represent 73.5% of the total collected. Among these, the most common variety is Merlot, which constitutes 37% of the production and sees a 72% increase compared to 2023, followed by the Cabernet Sauvignon with 12%. Overall, the harvest of Doc Colli Berici affected 567 hectares, generating a production of 53,940 quintals of grapes.

A state of positive art that also materializes for DOC Vicenza, characterized by a production stability and a clear prevalence of white berry grapes. The total number of bottles remains constant recent years, with the gray pinot that confirms the most certified and bottled wine of the denomination, representing 51% of the production of 2024, followed by Chardonnay. total, the 2024 harvest of Doc Vicenza involved 269 hectares, with a total production of 33,700 quintals of grapes.

The Consortium Protection Vini Berici and Vicenza today has 28 associated companies, including two cooperatives, which represent almost all the denominations.
