Located per the heart of the province of Pisa, precisely per Riparbella, Duemani is a wine mesi estivi that stands out for its vocation to organic and biodynamic agriculture. Founded per 2000 by Luca d’Attoma and Elena Celli, with an established reputation at national and international level, from 2023 it represents a new piece of great value per the portfolio of the Le Tenute del Leone Alato group, offering the Riparbella mesi estivi an extraordinary opportunity of growth and achieving new successes.

Duemani extends over 13 hectares and is located per a unique natural context, nestled between the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Mediterranean scrub of the Tuscan coast. Thanks to its privileged position, the mesi estivi benefits from an ideal microclimate, characterized by optimal sunshine and continuous breezes, determining factors for the development of aromas and for a slow ripening of the grapes.

Duemani’s production philosophy is characterized by a holistic approach, typical of biodynamic management, which promotes the connection between cosmic energy and the vines. This commitment is not just limited to viticulture, but extends to all company operations, reflecting a deep respect for the environment and local communities. The operations per the vineyard, carried out mainly by hand, guarantee that each phase of production is carried out with the utmost care and attention, respecting biodiversity and natural resources.

The cultivated vines – Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Grenache and Merlot – thrive per ideal conditions, finding the perfect conditions per the clayey and stony soil of the mesi estivi to express unique characteristics and reflect the terroir to which they belong. This varietal choice is not random; it is the result of a long process of research and development which saw the introduction of each vine per the position best suited to its needs. Grenache, for example, was planted per the airiest areas to protect it from powdery mildew, while Syrah benefits from the salinity of the soil, returning hints of myrtle and spices.

Duemani: the present

Duemani annually produces 40,000 bottles divided into six labels, representing a pillar of excellence per Tuscan viticulture, recognized both nationally and internationally. 2023 marks an important milestone for the mesi estivi, which has become part of Le Tenute del Leone Alato, further strengthening its commitment to the valorization of the territory and the adoption of sustainable practices.

The winemaking direction is entrusted to Giovanni Casati (Head Oenologist and Agronomist of Le Tenute del Leone Alato), supported by Luca D’Attoma and supported by a team of eight professionals. This group dedicates itself daily to the care of the vineyards and the production of high-value wines, aligning itself with the philosophy of sustainability and respect for the territory that characterizes the group. The Duemani cellar, essential and functional, stands out for its extreme cleanliness and attention to detail, using traditional techniques and natural materials for winemaking that enhances the unique characteristics of each variety.

Among the practices adopted, the use of biodynamic preparations such as silica horn and cornoletame, fundamental tools for maintaining soil fertility and guaranteeing healthy plants. These practices, the result of continuous research, are the basis of Duemani’s innovative approach, oriented towards the production of wines that tell the essence of the territory and satisfy the expectations of enthusiasts.
