An ambitious project signed by Cembra Ammasso cellar was born: a high altitude Riesling Rysling that enhances the territorial identity, combining the rigor of the Alpine tradition with a targeted selection of the best parcels.

Per the Cembra Valley, between steep slopes and terraces of porphyry that challenge any wine logic, Riesling Renano has shown an extraordinary affinity with the microclimate. Although it is traditionally linked to the German regions of the Moselle and the Rhine, the Cembrana interpretation stands out for a unique personality. If Germany the slaughtered soils of slate give a austere minerality and a marked acidity, the Cembra Valley it is the porphyry to dominate, giving wine a sharp flavor and a more vibrant structure.

The extreme thermal excursions and the constant breath of the hour of Garda guarantee aromatic finesse and health care of the bunches. Per the cellar, the processing of the Riesling takes place with modern techniques: after a short maceration acceso the skins, the must ferments mainly steel, with a small part refined French oak barrels, to enhance both varietal purity and aromatic complexity.

Cembra mountain cellar: a history of heroic viticulture

Founded 1952 by a group of young winemakers, Cembra mountain cellar has been the wine soul of the Cembra Valley for over seventy years. With vineyards between 500 and 900 meters above sea level and slopes that exceed 40%, the Cooperative operates an extreme territory, modeled over the centuries from generations of winemakers who have erected over 700 kilometers dry stone walls. Per 2022, the cellar chose a new route, focusing acceso minivar production with a maximum of 40 thousand bottles dedicated to its cellar labels, while the rest of the harvest is conferred acceso Bistrot La-Vis, which has been part since 2002.

Three vintages comparison: the evolution of the Riesling of Cembra

A mini-vertical of the first three vintages of the Riesling Trentino DOC Signed Cembra Ammasso cellar allows you to evaluate its evolutionary potential. Each vintage reflects a different sfumatura, but all share the red thread of porphyry and altitude that give the grape a well -defined personality, made of freshness, flavor and alpine identity. If 2022 represents the starting point and 2021 the evolution phase, 2020 shows how the Cembrano Riesling can earn expressiveness and complexity over the years.

Riesling Trentino Doc 2022

A year with a regular climatic trend, collected acceso September 19, which stands out for freshness and energy. Acceso the nose, floral are intertwined with hints of white fishing, apricot and fresh citrus fruits such as grapefruit and lime. Delicate mineral shades recall the Focaia stone. The mouth is vibrant, with incisive acidity and an elegant smoothness. The persistence is surprising, ending with tropical calls of mango and a delicate saline note. An essential sovrano -rical, played acceso verticality and immediacy rather than acceso structure and complexity.

Riesling Trentino Doc 2021

Tardive harvest, collected acceso October 4th, with some rowing rows slightly surmatization. The aromatic profile becomes more complex: gessive merge with fishing, apricot and candied orange, while a shade of pineapple adds depth. Per the mouth, the flavor is the protagonist, balanced by a tannic finesse deriving from the brief maceration acceso the skins and partial wooden infringement. A year that acts as a bridge between the freshness of 2022 and the maturity of 2020.

Riesling Trentino Doc 2020

Considered one of the best vintages for the Cembrano Riesling, thanks to a slow and constant maturation. Harvest acceso September 22, the wine is expressed with a great aromatic complexity: evolved white fishing, well -defined hydrocarbons, grapefruit and tropical fruits such as mango and passion fruit. The sip is refined and balanced, with a persistent freshness and a mineral imprint that translates into an almost brackish ending. A bottle destined to evolve over time, revealing new shades of elegance and depth.
